A new report indicates that the average age at which young people have their first sexual encounter is 12 years. The report undertaken by “I Choose Life Africa” also shows that although 84 percent of students have talked to someone about HIV and AIDS, 60 percent of that number are engaging in risky sexual behavior. The report is recommending a special focus on sex education to reverse the trend.
