Business premises razed down in Kiambu

Property worth thousands of shillings was destroyed as a fire gutted business premises in Kiambu town. Strong fumes and a cloud of heavy smoke filled the air as fire fighters made efforts to contain the blaze. A combined effort of the fire brigade and kiambu muncipal council was hampered by lack of enough water. Several traders are counting losses after the morning fire. Police are yet to establish the cause of the fire which started around 4.30 a.m.
