Deputy PM Uhuru leaves Finance
Finance Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and Head of Civil Service Francis Muthaura have bowed to pressure and stepped aside. The president immediately appointed Njeru Githae as acting finance minister while Francis Kimemia will take Muthaura’s position on an acting capacity. And as Richard Chacha reports, the decision to let the two go was reached Wednesday night after Attorney General Githu Muigai changed his position on the viability of the two staying in government.
