The Director of Public Prosecution has taken over a case in which a master of a Liberian flagged ship and two of the vessel’s security officers are facing a charge of being in possession of firearms and rounds of ammunition. State counsel Esther Macharia while seeking adjournment when the case came for hearing yesterday told the court she could not proceed with the matter since “they had just come on record”.
