The United Kingdom is closing in on former energy minister Chris Okemo and ex KPLC managing director Samuel Gichuru wanted for money laundering. This follows a move by the director of public prosecutions Keriako Tobiko to file an application in court seeking the arrest and extradition of the two and as Richard Chacha reports, the fate of the two now lies in the outcome of the case set to be heard beginning Monday next week.

A survey carried out by non-governmental organisations shows that Kenyans rank poor or bad leadership as the biggest impediment to good governance and general societal progress. Many Kenyans are now calling for empowerment of the masses to reject poor leadership

Ocampo accuse Kenya of plot to halt trial....

The International Criminal Court is accusing the Kenyan government of back peddling on its commitment to have suspected masterminds of the post election violence face trial. ICC’s chief prosecutor Luis Moreno Ocampo now wants the government to restate its commitment to the process and guarantee protection for witnesses, especially in light of him having been compelled to disclose all the evidence he intends to use against the suspects.

NCIC warns perpetrators of hate speech...

The National Cohesion and Integration Commission has warned those engaging in hate speech that it will soon start making arrests.
The commission’s chairman Dr. Mzalendo Kibunjia says the commission is in the process of gathering sufficient evidence against politician’s accused of engaging in hate speech, before acting.
The commission is also laying strategies to curb offensive utterances, during the next general election campaigns.

A 17-year old form four student in Kisii County has surprised many in his neighbourhood with his lofty project. Joseph Omwoyo is in the process of creating a helicopter from scratch. The several attempts he has made to take to the air have however all ended in vain. The engineer in the making remains focused on his goal.
