Some members of civil society is calling for the suspension of CFC Stanbic Bank over alleged malpractices that led to the rapid decline of the Shilling’s value late last year. The group wants the bank banned from conducting foreign exchange business in Kenya. The Central Bank fined the Bank 1 million shillings, an amount the group deems to be a paltry deterrent.
