Marijuana, canabis sativa, bhang; it goes by a myriad names and just as many are its uses and even more, its abuses. Many times Kenyans have witnessed the seizure of the illicit weed on roadblocks or sometimes in buildings especially of a backstreet kind. And the frequency of such discoveries has sometimes been treated as an ordinary event. But NTV’s John-Allan Namu has spent several months investigating the trade and use of marijuana; an assignment that has taken him to the farms where the weed is planted to the road journey of the route it takes to the market.
