How old must I be to enter?

You have to be a minimum of 18 years old on or before 1^st June.

Where do I get an entry form?

At the Audition venues or you can download it off the net, fill it in and bring it to the venue.

How much of my time will I have to dedicate to this competition?

You will need to be readily available from ………………………………………………– it is essential that you make sure you can relocate your life to Nairobi for this period.

What are the producers of the show looking for?

The selection team is looking for competitors with COMEDY skills (Looks, presence, personality and good voice.) TOP COMIC is seeking a talented comedian who knows he/she is megastar quality.

Why are there so many rules?

As this is a competition there have to be rules. It is very important that all contestants read, understand and sign the application rules page.

Why do I need my parent/guardian’s signature if I am less than 18 years of age?

Legally, anyone under the age of 18 will need consent from a parent or guardian… that is the law.

Where must I live to be able to enter?

You have to be a citizen of Kenya.

What happens if no one calls me back?

Please do not call us.  If you don’t get that call back on or before the 30^th June 2009 there will be a valid reason.

Where and when will auditions be held?

6 June 2009 in Mombasa

13 June 2009 in Kisumu

20th June 2009 Nairobi

You must be able to get to one of these cities by yourself on the dates above

How much time should I allocate for audition?

You will need to make sure you are available for the entire day. Starting at 8am and ending at 5pm.

What must I prepare for the audition?

You should prepare no more than 1 min of comedy scketch.

Remember you will need to bring a valid passport or KENYA identity document to your audition.

What comedy experience would exclude me from entering the competition?

You may not have signed to any commercial/professional comedian contract prior to the competition.

How will the top 30 be chosen?

The top 30 will be chosen by the audition teams, NTV, URBAN BREW STUDIOS AND JUDGES. Again if we do not call you to confirm you are through to the top 30 then please do not call us.

What will be expected of the top 30?

The top contestants must all be available to travel to, and stay in, NAIROBI (at the Producers’ expense) from ………………………………………………………………...
