Wash and Set is the story of Hilda who owns and runs a salon in one of Nairobi’s middle class estates. She is a single mother of a teenager called Rozzie whose growing up adds chaos into Hilda’s life. Hilda is determined that her daughter will not repeat the same mistakes that she made growing up. The drama elements are heightened by the presence of Jaymo, Rozzie’s dad who is determined get Hilda back. Jacqui, her best friend, whose relationships, mostly with married men, is the source of most of Hilda’s financial problems. There is also Matilda, a naive employee at the salon with an abusive husband and Jeremy, a new business partner with a demanding wife.
