GIRLFRIENDS is a popular half-hour comedy series about the strong bonds of friendship. Now in its seventh season, the series focuses on Joan (Tracee Ellis Ross), Maya (Golden Brooks), Lynn (Persia White) and Toni (Jill Marie Jones), a group of friends who consider themselves a “family of choice” and who share joys and challenges of everyday living in the 21st century. Also included in the “family” is William (Reggie Hayes), Joan’s good-natured former colleague and love interest, who is also the girlfriends’ “big brother.
