News : Telcos accountable over phone usage
6 million mobile phone subscribers were switched off from last midnight if the CCK is to believed. But beyond that, a new Law  that is set to come in force this Friday could see mobile phone service providers take more responsibility for how their lines are used as they will be compelled to pay fines for any unregistered subscribers found to be liable for any form of phone related crimes. And as  Abby Agina reports, the move is aimed at ensuring that telcos know their subscribers.
